Why imux?
Local shells and CLIs do not require cloud; membership is opt-in for Chat/API/Imagine.
Key Features
- Local shells and agent CLIs
- Session restore for workspaces
- Optional cloud membership models
- No forced cloud for pure terminal work
- Remote SSH when you choose it
Getting Started
1
Install the native app
Use the official notarized DMG. Local terminal work does not require a cloud account.
2
Run agents locally
Start Claude Code / Codex / shell tooling in project workspaces with your existing machine credentials.
3
Add cloud only when useful
Sign in for Clavue Agent Chat, Imagine, or API when you want membership models—not as a requirement for every pane.
FAQ
Does imux upload my whole repo by default?
Local terminals run on your machine. Cloud chat/API only receives what you send through those surfaces under your account policy.
