Official imux DMGs are Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized. Gatekeeper can still ask once on first open, especially after downloading in a browser.
Do not turn off system security. Use the standard Open Anyway path for notarized apps.
Prerequisites
- Official DMG from iccjk.com
- macOS 14+
Steps
- 01
Confirm the app is in Applications
Drag imux.app into
/Applications(not Downloads). Launch from Applications or Spotlight. - 02
If macOS blocks the open
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to the message about imux being blocked and choose Open Anyway. Authenticate with your Mac password or Touch ID.
- 03
Verify notarization context
Only continue if you downloaded from official hosts (
iccjk.com/ links fromclavue.com). If the file came from an unknown mirror, delete it and re-download from /download. - 04
Confirm the app runs
imux should open a workspace window. Check imux → About for version. If the main area is black later, that is a different issue—see blank terminal recovery.
FAQ
Should I disable Gatekeeper with spctl?
No. That weakens the whole Mac. Official builds do not require it.
Right-click Open still fails?
Re-download the DMG, check disk space, and ensure you are not launching a partial copy from a DMG that was ejected mid-copy.
